My company:
I got iSonea through the company list.
iSonea was found through the merger of
Karmelsonix of Israel and PulmoSonix of Australia. It is a medical technology
company which is focus on developing non-invasive devices and mobile health
apps to improve the management of chronic, costly respiratory disorders such as
asthma and COPD. And their mission is to:
o Using the innovative non-invasive devices and smart phone health
apps to improve the chronic, costly respiratory diseases management such as
asthma and COPD.
o Being the leading company in the field of pulmonary acoustics.
o Providing the job satisfaction to our employees and value our
shareholders.
All the information above are got by
internet.
After viewing their annual reports and
analyst reports, here is KCQ(key concepts and questions) about my company.
Key concepts:
·
iSonea is a medical technology
company.
·
They focus on using technology
to help people managing those costly respiratory diseases such as asthma and
COPD.
·
The new product of them named
AirSonea.
·
The AirSonea product described
and claims made have not been cleared or reviewed by US FDA yet. (As the picture showed)
·
Net assets declined every year.
·
iSonea is a medical technology
company hence the money spend on research and promotion were significant.
·
Since they are using the
technology to help people manage their healthy, and it is not popular among the
world now, they spend numerous money on marketing and promotion.
·
They issued a lot of shares
every year in order to financing.
·
And they also issued some
options.
·
The net profit is way less than
the expense every year.
·
But after AirSonea being
cleared and reviewed by US FDA in the future, the net profit of the company
would growth.
Questions:
Ø There is amortisation expense in the income statement. What is this
stand for?
Ø I am confused about what makes these investors still putting their
money into this company after they saw these annual reports?
Ø I reviewed the legacy products list, and I found out that there are only three legacy products (the
new one “AirSonea” is not on the list), are they planning to investigate more
innovative products to make more profit?
